Meet Rod, Salt Lake City, UT

Background

Dr. Rod Gleave grew up spending time in both California and Utah. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1986, then entered the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and earned his DMD in 1990. He held a general practice residency in Loma Linda, CA, before setting up his present private practice in Salt Lake City, UT.

Dr. Gleave believes that in order to provide the best care he can for his patients, continuing education is crucial. He has attended thousands of hours of continuing education courses, most recently covering dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, snoring and sleep apnea treatments, laser dentistry, sedation dentistry, and TMD pain and bite problems.

Credentials & Training

He was awarded a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and is a graduate of the Misch Implant Institute, founded by Carl Misch, recognized as the top educator for dental implants in the country. Dr. Gleave is also a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) and is the only dentist in Salt Lake City to hold an LVI fellowship. He is certified to use Hybridge solutions, designed to minimize the cost and complexity of implant procedures.

Giving Back & Personal

Throughout the year, Dr. Gleave volunteers his time and dental expertise to the ADA's Give Kids A Smile® program, which provides dental services for children without access to quality dental care, and the AACD's Give Back a Smile program, which helps restore smiles for battered women.

Dr. Gleave spends his free time coaching youth baseball and basketball. He enjoys many sports and loves to be outdoors. The father of six children, he recently had the pleasure of becoming a grandfather.
